Vanadium

Vanadium was discovered in 1830 by Nils Setstrom of Sweden. V melts at 1889.85 degrees C and boils at 3376.85 degrees C. It is used in touchening steel and iron as well as in coloring glass. Exposure to V can cause irritation to the eyes, nose, throat, and air passeage, with cough and phlegm.

Vanadium is a gray or white shiny powder or solid material. It is used in making sulfuric acid and synthetic rubber.
